Mpower1 Sells jBase International to Zumasys

Mpower1 announces that it has sold its interests in jBASE, the MultiValue database system, for an undisclosed multi-million dollar value to Zumasys Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Zumasys Inc. an information technology company based in California.

Since 2002, Mpower1 has exclusively managed the world-wide sales, distribution and first/second line support of the product through JBASE Holdings, and its UK and US based subsidiaries.

Mpower1 continues to operate its group of companies which cover software and services across various industry sectors, including its continuing operations in MultiValue (such as the successful mv.NET, mv.SSIS products and the new Evoke toolset). The sale forms part of the Mpower1 strategy which will allow the company to focus more effectively on their Evoke rapid multi-platform application development product, and Reach Delivery their fast expanding, secure document delivery and control service.

Pete Loveless, a director of Mpower1 International says ‘This is a very positive sale for the group. Zumasys are very well positioned to support and expand the jBASE operations, and this allows Mpower1 to focus our investment and resources more clearly on our other businesses. In particular there is great anticipation with the next phase of Evoke, our multi-platform app development system. Evoke has already attracted a large number of users amongst our MultiValue client base and is set to do the same as we start to roll it out across the wider market of SQL Server clients.
